The Detail
Morning Time: Red River Delta Countryside Tour will give you a view of the countryside including visiting the rural villages, rice paddies fields, fruit farm, local market, Valley, Alley, countryside road, seeing the local life, meeting local people and learning about their culture. We will take you on a unique tour, showing you attractions that the majority of visitors don't even know.
We start off in the heart of the capital, enjoying views overlooking the spectacular Long Bien Bridge that spans the Red River. From there we take a ride on our vintage Vespas, almost being taken back in time to visit over 1000-year-old temples at 1400-year-old villages and continue to see rice paddies fields. Our vintage vespa riders will take you through the small alleys of villages and areas, you can enjoy green and fresh air in the middle of the field, we also stop to learn about west rice culture.
Continue through the rice paddies road to visit a local market where you can see the daily life of local people and see local people sell in the market. Then we will stop and explore the ancient city of Co Loa, learn about the history from 257 BC. After a breathtaking ride, through the quiet countryside and lush green rice paddies, we arrive at a hidden family in the middle of the fields where they own a growing fruit farm with many kinds of tropical fruits. We will take you to visit their home, see life and also have a chance to see how they make traditional rice wine. Here, we interact with the homeowner and get a deeper understanding of local Vietnamese life and how they do the farm. The host can pick some fresh fruits at the farm and you can enjoy them.
After visiting villages, we will be back to Hanoi by a different way along the bank of the Red River. We will have a chance to see beautiful landscapes and villages on the way back to Hanoi, then we will have lunch and explore Hanoi city.
In the Afternoon time, Our Vespa rider will take you to the second destination to see the railway train tracks. Here, you can see how the locals live and work near the train tracks.
After a short ride on the Vespa toward Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, our rider will stop at the point where you can see an overview of the area including the presidential palace, parliament house and all government offices. Our tour guide will tell you about the history and stories about Hanoi.
Next, we continued to ride through a botanical garden, through Small Alley to visit Huu Hiep Lake where there is a B52 Crash site in the lake. This US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, a poignant reminder of recent history.
Our next attraction is West Lake, one of the biggest lakes in Hanoi, where we can see an overview of the city with beautiful houses and a part of the rich people’s life.
Through Thanh Nien Street, next to West Lake, we ride to Truc Bach lake and stop at the monument of John MC Cain. Here you can enjoy the view and learn about the story of John MC Cain.
We’ll be back on the Vespa to the An Duong market to see how local people come to buy and sell fresh vegetables and food for daily life, you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere here.
Our next attraction is hidden gem village, where we see the low living standard of people here and understand how people farm on this island, having a chance to meet and chat with them. Our guide will take you to visit a local family to see how their daily life is.
Then now we ride up through the banana farm and see the beautiful green of the vegetable farm along the way and now the time we get to visit Kumquat farm these little trees are traditional gifts at Tet, the Vietnamese lunar new year, and adorn every family home, symbolizing Luck, Health, Wealth, Fertility and Peace.
After a long ride, we will stop and enjoy Vietnamese coffee. You can also try the famous coffee of Hanoi: Egg coffee.
After all our last destinations, we then ride out of the city to see the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure built over a hundred of years ago that spans over the Red River and connects Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts, and provides shelter to locals living on the boats underneath.
